Rain with two damage axes
Pelipper activates fast Water pressure and Electro Shot; Basculegion and Archaludon threaten different defenses so rain is more than one attacker.
Pokémon Champions · VGC doubles
Regulation M-B is a bring-six, choose-four doubles problem. A professional build needs several playable lead pairs, a coherent four-Pokémon mode into common boards, unique items, legal Champions stat points, and a plan for deciding which Mega option matters in each game.

Format essentials
These rules come from the project’s pinned Pokémon Showdown format data. Tiers and bans can change, so validate again before playing.
Doubles with six registered Pokémon and four selected for battle.
Default level 50; Species Clause and Item Clause are active.
Use up to 66 stat points total and 32 in one stat; IVs are fixed at 31.
Terastallization is disabled. A roster may carry multiple Mega Stones, but only one Pokémon can Mega Evolve during a battle.

Core ideas
Pelipper activates fast Water pressure and Electro Shot; Basculegion and Archaludon threaten different defenses so rain is more than one attacker.
Priority Tailwind enables immediate Earthquake or Make It Rain pressure; choose Ground-safe partners and preserve a second speed mode.
Armor Tail and Rage Powder protect Trick Room setup, after which Kingambit exploits slower turns and punishes Intimidate with Defiant.

FAQ
No. The registered team has six, but you select four for each doubles battle. Team building must therefore create complete four-Pokémon modes, not just six useful sets.
The pinned Showdown team rules allow multiple unique Mega Stones on the roster. Battle mechanics still permit only one Mega Evolution in a game, so each stone is an alternate mode.
No. This format uses the Champions point model recorded in the current Showdown rules, so a 252/252 spread must be converted before validation.
This page uses a 2026-06 Smogon usage snapshot interpreted against the project’s pinned Showdown rules. It is a historical rating sample, not a win-rate forecast, and rules may change between page updates.
