Overview
FavePoke is an unofficial, fan-made Pokémon tool. The public competitive Team Builder, Playthrough Team Planner, Random Pokémon Generator, and Who's That Pokémon game are usable without an account. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the site.
Team Builder Data
Drafts Saved in Your Browser
The competitive Team Builder stores its current draft in your browser's local storage. A draft can include the team name, selected format, Pokémon, nicknames, moves, abilities, items, natures, Tera Types, levels, genders, shiny settings, happiness, EVs, and IVs. This storage lets the builder restore your work on the same browser and device.
The Playthrough Team Planner uses a separate local-storage record containing its six selected Pokémon identifiers and a save timestamp. FavePoke does not currently save either kind of local draft to a user profile. A draft remains in that browser until you clear it in the tool, clear the site's local storage, or your browser removes it. The builders remain usable if browser storage is unavailable, but they may not restore a previous draft.
Shared Team URLs
When you share a competitive team, FavePoke creates a URL containing an encoded copy of the complete draft. A Playthrough Team Planner link instead includes the six selected Pokémon identifiers. Anyone who receives one of these URLs can view the team information it contains. Do not put personal or confidential information in a team name or Pokémon nickname.
Opening a shared URL sends the requested URL to FavePoke's hosting infrastructure as part of a normal web request. Depending on which optional services are enabled, the URL may also be processed in security, error, analytics, advertising, or support-service requests. Browsers or external sites may also retain shared URLs in history, bookmarks, previews, or referrer information. Treat a shared link as public to anyone who has it.
The current share-link features restore a draft from the URL; they do not create a public, searchable team profile. Curated team guides published as normal FavePoke pages are separate from visitor-created share links.
Other Public Tool Data
The Random Pokémon Generator sends the selected count and filters to the FavePoke server so it can return matching random results. The Who's That Pokémon game requests a mystery Pokémon using the generation filter you choose and may keep game progress or preferences in browser storage. These public-tool choices and results are not currently stored as account history.
Technical Information
Hosting, security, and delivery providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested URL, referrer, timestamps, response status, and error or security logs. We use this information to operate, protect, monitor, and diagnose the service.
Preferences, Cookies, and Optional Services
FavePoke may store limited preferences in your browser, including language and color theme. Authentication cookies are used when account or administrative features are available and you choose to sign in.
The site can be configured to use services such as Google Analytics or Plausible for measurement, Google AdSense for advertising, and Crisp or Tawk.to for support. A configured provider may receive device, browser, page, interaction, cookie, advertising, or message information under its own privacy terms. These providers are not required for the local Team Builder draft itself, and a particular provider may not be enabled at all times.
FavePoke does not sell personal information.
Optional Account Information
If account features are offered and you create an account, we may process the name, email address, authentication records, session information, settings, and content you provide. The three public tools remain usable without an account. Payment or subscription features, if offered and used, may require a separate payment provider to process transaction and billing information under that provider's terms.
Data and Artwork Requests
Pokémon artwork, the general Pokémon index, competitive catalogs, and usage-statistics files are provided from FavePoke-controlled URLs as local or versioned assets. Normal use does not require your browser to request those datasets directly from PokéAPI, GitHub, Pokémon Showdown, or Smogon.
Source projects and intellectual-property attribution are described on Credits and Data Sources.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Restore drafts and preferences saved in your browser.
- Open team information that you deliberately include in a share URL.
- Generate requested Pokémon results and game rounds.
- Deliver, maintain, secure, and diagnose the service.
- Measure and improve usability and performance when analytics is enabled.
- Deliver advertising or support features when those services are enabled.
- Investigate errors, fraud, abuse, or legal complaints.
- Operate optional account, payment, or support features that you choose to use.
Retention
Local Team Builder drafts and preferences remain under your browser's control. Visitor-created share links are not currently stored as searchable team records, but the URL may appear temporarily in infrastructure, security, analytics, advertising, or support logs according to each configured provider's retention settings.
Account, transaction, support, and technical records, when applicable, are retained only as long as reasonably needed for service operation, security, legal obligations, accounting, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.
Your Choices
You can avoid creating a share link, remove sensitive text before sharing, and clear cookies or local storage through your browser settings. Browser privacy controls or content blockers may restrict optional analytics, advertising, or support scripts.
If account features are available, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information, subject to identity verification, technical limits, and legal exceptions. Current contact-channel availability is listed on the About page.
Children
FavePoke is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information should review the current contact-channel information on the About page.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not include passwords, contact details, or other sensitive information in team names, nicknames, shared URLs, or unverified support messages.
Changes
We may update this policy as FavePoke changes its tools, storage behavior, or service providers. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
